Led by Fil Navarrette, Director of Field Operations, the Total Metals Installation Team takes pride in its ability to offer quality, professional installation services across the entire company product line. From ACM wall panel systems to Standing Seam metal roofing to Interior decorative accent products, the Installation Team strives to provide that quality “look” that your project deserves the first time, on schedule, safely and that will stand the test of time over the most extreme environments.
In our efforts to continually improve our processes and quality, Total Metals closely follows certain performance parameters that we have found to be critical indicators of field installation performance. Length and type of items on completion punch lists, customer complaints received, customer call backs after project completion, safety reports both internal and external, and warranty calls are monitored and reviewed monthly by senior management.
Total Metals has an excellent track history of safety on the job site we feel as a direct result of our pro-active safety program. Through a rigorous safety training program, each installation team member prior to being deployed to a job site is certified for both operating the heavy equipment that he will be used during our installation and fall prevention practices. Total Metals employs an OSHA certified Safety Officer whose responsibilities include onsite random monitoring of our installation crews to verify the safety training is being properly implemented and that each employee has had the proper training for any equipment they are operating. This safety program has resulted in an outstanding OSHA record, minimal worker compensation claims, and no schedule or cost impacts to our customers resulting from OSHA inspections of our teams.
Schedule compliance is essential in controlling your project cost which in turn is essential in controlling our cost and reputation so that we remain competitive in the future. To insure that we respond as quickly as possible to changes and progress on your job site, Total Metals Installation team is equipped with computer systems providing a real time link with our facility. Field measures needed for fabrication are made at your site and immediately transmitted to our Engineering department. Project status and schedule information coming from site visits is immediately transferred to our scheduling team for release to our fabrication and project management teams. All of our installation crews are equipped with GPS tracking systems in their mobile phones so our management knows exactly where they are at real time to respond to ever changing events.
